LALIGA is a private company engaged in trade and supported financially by the exercise of its activity. This activity, like that of its counterparties, is subject to industrial and commercial secrecy and is covered by the Trade Secrets Act 1/2019 of 20 February. Therefore, its relations with third parties, as they fall within the private sphere, are duly protected by the applicable regulations and are therefore subject to the duty of confidentiality.

Operators

Pursuant to the provisions of Royal Decree-Law 5/2015, of 30 April, on urgent measures relating to the marketing of the exploitation rights of audiovisual content of professional football competitions, LALIGA manages the centralised marketing of the audiovisual rights of its national professional football competitions. This activity is managed and supervised by LALIGA's Audiovisual Rights Management Control Body, in accordance with the provisions of the aforementioned Royal Decree-Law, to whose meetings the High Council for Sport and the Royal Spanish Football Federation are invited, as well as the State Tax Agency and the General Treasury of the Social Security. In addition, this activity is also supervised by the National Commission on Markets and Competition.

The centralised marketing of audiovisual rights is LALIGA's main source of income, which is distributed in accordance with the distribution criteria set out in the aforementioned Royal Decree-Law 5/2015 of 30 April and Royal Decree 2/2018 of 12 January, which establishes certain rules for the development of Royal Decree-Law 5/2015 of 30 April, in particular with regard to the contributions of professional football to the promotion of sport and, in particular, amateur football.

LALIGA has a Procurement Policy approved by the Board of Directors, which defines and regulates the processes for awarding contracts to suppliers in order to adapt them to the principles of objectivity, transparency and free competition and, in conjunction with the objective of budgetary stability, to ensure efficient utilisation of the company's resources. As part of the company's functional autonomy, LALIGA's suppliers must undergo a complete approval process, which takes into account social, environmental and development aspects in addition to the assessment of corporate, economic and reputational aspects, in order to promote, among other things, the awarding of contracts to socially responsible companies that are committed to the environment and human rights.
