- He began his footballing journey at the Clube de Regatas Brasil academy.
- He signed his first professional contract in 2009, with Gremio Prudente Futebol Ltda.
- He made his debut in Brazil's Serie A, the top flight, against Botafogo on 1 August 2009.
- Several months later, on 9 May 2010, he bagged his first goal in the top tier of Brazilian football against Avai Futebol Clube.
- His performances in Brazil caught the eye of Uruguayan outfit Deportivo Maldonado, who snapped him up, although he subsequently returned to his homeland to join Sao Paulo on loan.
- He was instrumental in Sao Paulo's run to the title at the 2012 Copa Sudamericana, in which he scored three times.
- Following further loan spells at Gremio and Santos, in 2014 he made the step up to Spanish football with Real Madrid Castilla.
- His debut in the Liga Adelante came on 1 February 2014, when Real Madrid Castilla took on Hercules CF.
- His trophy cabinet contains gold medals from the U-20 World Cup and the South American Youth Championship. As part of Brazil's triumphant squads at these tournaments, he played alongside the likes of Neymar, Philippe Coutinho, Oscar and Lucas Moura.
- He made a single appearance for the Real Madrid first team on 11 May 2014, in Liga BBVA Matchday 37. This was a 21-minute run-out during the Madrid club's visit to Balaidos to face RC Celta.
