Villarreal is committed to provincial sport

Villarreal CF has renewed its commitment to supporting provincial sport, which will benefit more than 2,000 athletes every year. The club will donate €270,000 to different clubs, sporting bodies and individual athletes in the Castellon region.

The grant includes entities like CD Roda (football), CA Playas de Castellon (athletics), CV l’Illa-Grau (volleyball), Amics del Basquet (basketball) as well as individual athletes like Pablo Herrera (beach volleyball) and Sebastian Mora (track cycling). In addition, the grant will focus on the correct use of logistics, medical resources and facilities.

Fernando Roig, the club president, confirmed that Villarreal strongly supports sport in the Castellon region, and has done since 2004 when Pablo Herreras won a medal in the Olympics Games in Athens.
