Second win in a row for Zaragoza

Real Zaragoza secured their second win on the bounce in Liga Adelante after defeating SD Ponferradina. Víctor Rodríguez scored the winner from a free kick in the second half.

The first half was very even, with both sides demonstrating their abilities and sharing goal-scoring opportunities. The home side scored the game’s first goal when José Javier Barkero’s cross was turned into his own net by Ponferradina defender Óscar Ramírez. The visitors rallied, equalizing on the stroke of halftime through an unstoppable Samuel Fernández header.

After the break Paco Herrera’s men looked the more likely to score again, which they dually did thanks to a Víctor Rodríguez free kick. Ponferradina had the chance to equalise, however Leo Franco denied Acorán when the visitor’s midfielder was through on goal.
