On Wednesday Carlos Suárez, president of Real Valladolid, and Juan José Hidalgo, his counterpart at Globalia, signed a collaboration agreement at the headquarters of the Liga de Fútbol Profesional. The partnership makes the company the official transport provider of the Valladolid club.
The Valladolid president explained that, for the agreement, they were looking for "a company that would take care of all the services and that had the necessary experience". Carlos Suárez also pointed out that the partnership opens up "more and improved opportunities for the team to travel, making the entire journey by air and thus minimizing trips by coach". The president also stated that "it will also reduce the time invested in journeys which will result in longer rests for the squads" as well as "twenty per cent savings on our travel expenses".
For his part, Juan José Hidalgo was happy to have Real Valladolid join the around thirty clubs he already works with. For Hidalgo, this figure shows "the confidence of professional football in this group. I am happy and grateful for this partnership". The president at Globalia explained that the trust received from football is due to "a long history during which teams have gradually joined us, and a fruit of the satisfactory service on offer". Hidalgo ended his speech by explaining that his group's goal is to "continue reaching agreements with professional football clubs which have yet to join us".
