Real Madrid have been proclaimed LALIGA EA SPORTS champions following their 3-0 victory over Cadiz CF and FC Barcelona’s 4-2 defeat in Girona. The team managed by Carlo Ancelotti achieved the feat on Saturday when they moved onto 87 points with four games left to play, a haul which mathematically secured them the league title.
Brahim Diaz, Jude Bellingham and Joselu Mato were the authors of the three goals against Cadiz, producing a resounding 3-0 win to leave the ball in FC Barcelona’s court. Xavi’s charges needed a win at Montilivi to prevent Los Blancos from becoming champions on Matchday 34. Girona ended up staging a comeback to win the match 4-2, securing a historic Champions League berth for next season and handing Ancelotti’s men the LALIGA EA SPORTS title.
This means that Real Madrid have now added a 36th LALIGA EA SPORTS title to their all-time honours list, making them the most decorated team in the competition. They did so with a balance of 27 wins, six draws and just a solitary defeat in the 34 games to date, with four matchdays yet to be contended.
