Rayo Vallecano de Madrid, which currently finds itself in last place in the Liga BBVA, will measure up against Valencia CF in the matchday seven clash which is to take place on Saturday (16:00 CET) in the Mestalla. After an eventful start, Miroslav Djukić's side seems to have picked itself up with its 0-1 victory over Granada CF on Wednesday. The team from Vallecas, on the other hand, is still lacking confidence and on the same day it was thrashed 4-1 on its trip to Sevilla CF.
The home manager will not be able to pick the injured Hélder Postiga, Ricardo Costa, Vicente Guaita or Pablo Piatti. "Alcácer can play up front, that's why he's here, also Jonas and Pabón, we will see how people are feeling tomorrow and then we'll make a decision. We feel more like a team every day, we know what the side has to do and we are improving, we need to maintain and improve our competitiveness while staying solid at the back", stated Djukić.
His opposite number, Paco Jémez, will make the trip to the city on the Turia without Alejandro Gálvez and Jonathan Viera, who are serving bans, while injuries have left Rodri and Tito on the sideline. The presence of the Mexican Nery Castillo is the big news at Rayo. "It is not a question of changing what we do, just improving and continuing to work hard. We are more dangerous to ourselves than to the opposition and that has to change. Our opponents take advantage of our errors, we have been working on it and we hope to solve it soon. We have identified the problem, we have the time to solve it and the people capable of doing so", said Jémez in reference to the team's poor run of form.
