Adding to Hércules CF’s suffering this Monday came the news that Noe Pamerot and Gorka Azkorra are both injured, meaning they’ll be out of action for the next few weeks.
Both players picked up injuries in the side’s 5-1 defeat to SD Ponferredina on Sunday, and the tests carried out on Monday by the club’s medical staff confirmed that Pamerot suffered a knock to his right thigh, while Azkorra has a problem with his left hamstring.
It is estimated that they will need three weeks to recover, meaning that they will miss Hércules’ upcoming matches at home to RC Deportivo La Coruña and away to Deportivo Alavés. They are also doubtful for the team’s following match against Eibar.
Pamarot is fundamental to Hércules’ system, and the Frenchman has started all of the team’s Liga Adelante games so far this season, so his absence will cause Enrique Hernandez the wrong kind of selection headache as there are only two other proper central defenders in the squad.
Hércules are currently rooted near the bottom of the league in 19th place after failing to win any of their last three matches.
