LALIGA has selected Malaysia as one of the countries to host the LALIGA VS Bullying campaign. A special event in collaboration with       LALIGA Academy Malaysia brought together more than 60 young footballers' part of the academy for various awareness-raising activities.

During the event, LALIGA Academy Malaysia’s Technical Director Diego Gutiérrez explained LALIGA's role in addressing bullying both on and off the pitch. Participants also watched educational videos, including a special message from Álex, LALIGA’s virtual influencer, who greeted the academy’s students and expressed his own support for the initiative.

Additionally, team building exercises led by the LALIGA Academy Malaysia technical director were held on their 4G FIFA approved Astroturf Football field, including activities that involved ‘dribbling’ the monster that symbolises bullying in the campaign's visuals. These activities underscored how teamwork and unity can help young people combat bullying more effectively.

Since its launch in autumn, LALIGA has continued to promote the LALIGA VS BULLYING campaign, emphasising the core values of football, such as teamwork, unity, and solidarity. The campaign encourages children to be proactive rather than passive, and to unite in the face of the problem. Underpinned by the slogan “A team leaves no one alone” its message is that football’s collective spirit can inspire positive social change.

“For years, LALIGA has worked to fight hate and violence through its LALIGA VS initiative, which includes various campaigns like LALIGA VS Racism and this season’s new effort: LALIGA VS BULLYING. In this campaign, LALIGA wanted to capture football’s collective spirit, where success depends on unity and mutual support. That principle is exactly what we need in the fight against bullying, and it’s what we’ve seen demonstrated here today,” explained Adrián Prol, LALIGA’s delegate in Malaysia.

LALIGA Academy Malaysia opened in 2023 in partnership with the prestigious EPSOM College in Malaysia and since then the project has highlighted the school's commitment to providing a world-class holistic education that combines sport and academics in equal measure to students from across Asia. Sport is seamlessly integrated into the existing academic curriculum - which builds on almost 200 years of academic excellence from EPSOM College in the UK. Students live, learn, and train in a holistic learning ecosystem that places equal emphasis on academic and sporting achievement.
