Jan Oblak, October's Best Save in LALIGA EA SPORTS

Jan Oblak has won the LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Save Award for October! Once again, Atlético Madrid’s goalkeeper was crucial for his team throughout the past month, especially in their 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad , where he shined with some brilliant saves.

At the 12th minute, with Atlético leading 0-1, Oblak stepped up to save his team, first stopping a header from Martín Zubimendi that was heading for the top corner, and then making a fantastic save against a powerful shot from Morocco’s Nayef Aguerd after a rebound.

This is the first time this season that Atlético’s No. 13 has taken home the Best Save award, beating Paulo Gazzaniga (Girona FC) and Sergio Herrera (CA Osasuna) in the final voting. Oblak follows in the footsteps of Marko Dmitrović, who took the prize in September.
