Isco, LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Player in March

Isco Alarcón has been chosen as LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Player for the month of March, a distinction awarded by LALIGA together with EA.

The Real Betis attacking midfielder has had a sensational month, playing a key role in Manuel Pellegrini's side recording three wins from three games in March. Despite not being a striker, Isco is the second highest scorer in the squad and has acquired a fundamental role in the team's game.

The Malaga-born player started the month playing a leading role in the 2-1 victory against Real Madrid, scoring a goal from the penalty spot and receiving the trophy for man of the match. He then played the full 90 minutes in the 1-0 win against UD Las Palmas in a match in which he helped his team to another three golden points despite missing a last-gasp penalty. The Andalusian player ended the month contributing to another sensational victory for his team. After going 2-0 down in their match against CD Leganés, Isco started the comeback with a penalty and provided the assist for the third goal to help Betis win the game 3-2.

The Real Betis player thus wins his first Best Player of the Month award in the current LALIGA EA SPORTS season, beating Mbappé (Real Madrid), Pedro Díaz (Rayo Vallecano), Umar Sadiq (Valencia CF) and Marcos Alonso (RC Celta) in the final vote. Isco succeeds Oihan Sancet, who won the award in February.
