Currently in seventh and eighth position in the Liga Adelante (level on points with Real Zaragoza in sixth), Córdoba CF and RCD Mallorca will put on an enticing show in the fight for promotion.
José Luis Oltra, Mallorca's manager, has a clear goal for the match against the Andalusians. "It would be huge to finish the first round of matches in the playoff positions. We would be in the playoff zone for the first time and it would also mean a win against a close rival", stated an Oltra who confirmed that Mallorca is open to transfers in the winter window.
For his part, Pablo Villa, the Córdoba coach, is still fighting to bring reliability to his team. In the last match they managed a 2-0 win over a tough RC Recreativo de Huelva and are now looking to Mallorca with the possible inclusion of the newly-signed Miguel Ángel Nieto. "Our key players need crosses and Nieto has the pace and crossing ability we were looking for".
