Following the public vote on LaLiga.es and Flowics, CD Leganes's Argentine winger Alexander Szymanowski (Buenos Aires, 13 October 1988) has been crowned the LaLiga 1l2l3 World Player 2015/16 as the nominee who best represents the international nature of the division and its global composition.
Szymanowski was a key member of the Leganes side which last term achieved a historic promotion to LaLiga Santander, as the Madrid outfit secured a place in the top tier for the first time. The Argentine ended that campaign - his first at the club - as Los Pepineros' leading goalscorer with 12 goals, whilst also weighing in with eight assists. It was certainly a season to remember for the winger and one that was topped off with a promotion that is currently enabling him to showcase his talents on the LaLiga Santander stage and which has now brought him this distinction.
As for his displays in the top flight, Szymanowski is once again excelling, with his keen eye for goal propelling him to the summit of his side's goalscoring charts after having found the net three times so far this term.
