Liga BBVA matchday 35 closes in the Balaídos where RC Celta de Vigo square off against Real Valladolid CF. This will be one of five ‘finals’ for the team from Castile and Leon in their bid to stay up.
It will also be a vital game for Celta, who will take to the pitch on Monday with the objective of finding three points that will guarantee their place in the Liga BBVA. Despite the peace of mind of the middle of the table, Luis Enrique is not counting his chickens and warned "Valladolid are greatly in need of points". Álex López has recovered and may be available for the game, while Augusto Fernández is almost certainly out.
Valladolid, who occupy the penultimate position in the table with a game in hand over their rivals, are hoping to take a step towards safety. A win and two consecutive victories mean the team can ride the wave in the closing stretch of the Liga BBVA. Juan Ignacio Martínez spoke of the significance of a win over Vigo: "A victory would be very important, both in terms of the table and our morale".
