Cordoba CF 0-2 RCD Mallorca

Mallorca were just too much for Cordoba as Fernando Vazquez's side sealed their first away win of the season courtesy of second-half goals from Thierry Moutinho and Brandon. Although the home side started better, the visitors slowly took charge to claim all three points.

Elche CF 2-0 R. Valladolid CF

Elche CF finally got back to winning ways at home. Alex Fernandez was the star of the show with two headed goals, one in each half. Victory ended a run of five games without a win for Elche at their Martinez Valero stadium, whilst defeat put paid to R. Valladolid's five-match unbeaten run.

Nastic 1-0 Getafe CF

The Catalans ran out 1-0 winners over Getafe to seal their first home win of the campaign in an entertaining encounter which marked the visitors' first defeat under head coach Jose Bordalas. The only goal of the game was a beauty, a direct free-kick from Juan Muñiz which sealed the points for Nastic.

SD Huesca 4-0 R. Oviedo

It was a goal fest at the El Alcoraz stadium as the home side scored four goals to take all three points and climb into the automatic promotion places in LaLiga 1|2|3. Huesca dominated from kick-off with a performance that combined speedy attacks with a solid defensive display. A David Ferreiro brace and goals from Gonzalo Melero and Borja Lazaro sealed a rampant win.

AD Alcorcon 1-0 Reus CF

Pablo Perez's goal saw Alcorcon run out 1-0 winners in this highly competitive match. The three points give Alcorcon some breathing space as they climb the table, whilst this reverse was Reus's third on the bounce.

CD Tenerife 1-1 CD Numancia

The two teams shared the points in this evenly matched encounter. The Canary Islanders took a 34th-minute lead when Suso fired home from the penalty spot, but Manu del Moral's second-half goal meant a point for the visitors.

Levante UD 0-0 Cadiz CF

Levante and Cadiz played out a goalless draw in a game in which both teams had plenty of chances. Despite an abundance of goalscoring opportunities, neither side could find the net and so they had to settle for a point apiece.

CD Lugo 1-0 Rayo Vallecano

Ruben Baraja failed to get his Rayo reign off to a positive start. His charges fought to the last to try to take something away from the Estadio Angel Carro, but all three points ultimately stayed in Lugo courtesy of Fernando Seoane's first-half goal. The result ends a six-game winless run for Luis Cesar Sampedro's men.

Sevilla Atletico 1-0 UD Almeria

The sky would seem to be the limit for the youngsters from Seville, who continue to dazzle. On this occasion they ran out victorious thanks to Cristian Gonzalez's crashing header from a corner in the 13th minute. Diego Martinez's troops' third straight triumph on home soil took them up to second, although it was anything but comfortable. Almeria's Quique Gonzalez had a penalty saved by Jose Antonio Caro early in the second half and the hosts had plenty of other hairy moments, especially after their goalscorer was sent off 20 minutes from time.

UCAM Murcia CF 0-1 Girona FC

A strike from Italian forward Samuele Longo shortly after the hour mark was enough to secure Girona's second away success of the campaign, which sends them up into third in the table. The Catalans have collected 21 points from the opening 14 matchdays, which is the same tally that Lugo and Huesca have amassed, although Pablo Machin's side lie ahead of both on account of their superior goal difference. After falling behind, UCAM poured forward in search of an equaliser but Girona saw the game out to claim maximum points.

R. Zaragoza 2-0 CD Mirandes

For most of the first half these sides contrived to cancel each other out, but as the half-time interval approached, Zaragoza began to impose themselves and struck twice to take a two-goal lead into the break. It was Leandro Cabrera who broke the deadlock when he fired home a right-footed effort from inside the area and just nine minutes later Edu Garcia doubled the hosts' advantage when he found the target after a sublime pass from Cani.
