CD Numancia 1-0 Nastic
The hosts chalked up their first victory of the season against Nastic, whose winless start continues. Numancia dominated the encounter and went from strength to strength as the minutes wore on. Alexander Callens threatened early on, but it was Manu del Moral who grabbed the only goal of the game on the quarter-hour mark. The forward's exquisite glancing header was enough to ensure all three points stayed at home.
Cordoba CF 1-0 Levante UD
The El Arcangel effect halted the charge of LaLiga 1|2|3 leaders Levante, who saw their unbeaten run brought to an end and remain on 10 points. As for Cordoba, their second win of the campaign was the perfect antidote to the agony of last weekend's 3-0 pasting at the hands of SD Huesca. Guille gave the Andalusians the advantage in the ninth minute and his effort ultimately sealed the spoils, putting his team back in touch in the upper reaches of the table.
Elche CF 0-3 CD Lugo
Lugo are still yet to lose this term and that streak never looked in danger in Elche, where the visitors produced another terrific performance. Luis Cesar Sampedro's men took charge of the match from the off and their cause was aided when Sergio Pelegrin turned the ball into his own net. Antonio Campillo rifled home to make it 2-0 and then Igor Martinez added further gloss to the scoreline in the 80th minute to round off a comprehensive away win.
R. Valladolid 0-1 UCAM Murcia CF
The Murcians have proven to be anything but a pushover since gaining promotion, only being beaten once, and they sprang a surprise by emerging from Valladolid – always a tricky place to go – with their maiden victory. It was a thrilling finale to the encounter, with Tito snatching a winner in injury time to silence the Estadio Jose Zorrilla faithful and hand UCAM all three points.
CF Reus 1-0 Cadiz CF
Reus secured their first home triumph of the season courtesy of an excellent all-round display. Fittingly, it was Fran Carbia, whose family roots are in Cadiz, who made the difference with a lovely strike. Over 3,900 fans were in attendance – the Catalan club's biggest home crowd so far this term – to watch Reus serve up some great stuff and climb into the playoff spots.
Real Zaragoza 2-0 AD Alcorcón
Luis Milla's men made it three home league wins on the spin this term. After last weekend's defeat away to Levante, Zaragoza bounced back in front of their suppporters and scooped three points to move level with the league leaders. David Rodriguez's own goal put the hosts ahead in the third minute and Manu Lanzarote's fifth strike of the campaign settled it in the second half. As for Alcorcon, their second defeat of the season leaves them still languishing near the foot of the table.
UD Almeria 0-1 CD Tenerife
Tenerife came away from their trip to Almeria with their first LaLiga 1|2|3 victory on the road for quite some time. The islanders edged the encounter thanks to Ximo Navarro's own goal, one of several this weekend. Pep Marti's side dominated for long spells of the match and were simply too tough for the home team to handle. The Andalusians, for their part, grew into the game, but the visitors created the better opportunities.
CD Mirandes 2-1 Rayo Vallecano
Goals from Pedro Martin and Iker Guarrotxena proved enough to see Mirandes climb to fourth in the table with a win in a match decided by the smallest of details. Outplayed throughout, Rayo made too many mistakes at the back and failed to turn the game around despite trying until the very end.
Sevilla Atletico 2-0 SD Huesca
The Sevilla youth team pulled off their first win of the new campaign with a solid performance against Huesca. There were no goals in the first 45 minutes and Sevilla Atletico saved their best for the second half. Curro opened the scoring on 59 minutes and Jose Angel Carrillo made it 2-0 in the 65th minute, sealing all three points for the home side.
Getafe CF 2-1 R. Oviedo
Getafe also secured their first win of the season, despite being forced to come from behind after Lucas Torro gave R. Oviedo a 10th-minute lead. Paul Anton launched the home side's second-half comeback with a left-footed shot from outside the area that crept in under the crossbar, leaving Juan Carlos Sanchez with no chance. Towards the end of the match, Jorge Molina made it 2-1 when he fired home from inside the six-yard box.
RCD Mallorca 1-0 Girona FC
Following a tough start to the season in which they could only manage two defeats and two draws, Mallorca were another of the teams celebrating their first win of the new LaLiga 1|2|3 campaign. The home side carved out several goalscoring chances, but it was Juan Culio's free-kick that found its way into the back of the net off Samuele Longo.
