Joselu named LaLiga 1|2|3 Player of the Month for September

CD Lugo forward Joselu Moreno has been named the LaLiga 1|2|3 Player of the Month for September after his goalscoring exploits saw the Galician outfit remain unbeaten throughout the past month of the competition.

Lugo claimed three wins and two draws during September and Joselu played a starring role in this sequence of results, with his three goals securing no less than seven points for the Galicians. The Andalusian hitman was on the mark against Cordoba CF (3-3) and struck the winners in the 1-0 home triumphs over Sevilla Atletico and R. Valladolid CF.

This accolade - which is awarded by Santander, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers - was presented by Charo Garcia Alonso, the bank's regional director for Asturias and Galicia. The award recognises Joselu's key contribution to a Lugo side who'll be looking to maintain their dream start to the campaign.
