Deportivo Alaves part ways with manager Abelardo

Abelardo Fernandez has left Deportivo Alaves after less than three months in charge. The club from Vitoria announced the decision in a statement on Monday afternoon.

His second spell in charge at the club comes to an end following a run of six games without a win in LaLiga Santander, with Sunday's 1-3 home defeat to RC Celta leaving them bottom of the table.

Deportivo Alaves thanked the manager for his "commitment and professionalism whilst in charge at the club", wishing him the best of luck for the future.
