RC Celta joins LALIGA VS project in schools in Sweden with Williot Swedberg and Carl Starfelt as ambassadors against hate

LALIGA, in collaboration with RC Celta, is expanding its LALIGA VS project to schools in Stockholm and surrounding areas, aiming to impact 2,000 children in locations such as Hasselby, Eskilstuna, Sodertalje, Bromma, and Uppsala. The project aims to foster inclusion and eradicate hate both on and off the pitch. Through seminars held in schools, it uses football's influence to promote positive values among children and explains how bullying, racism, sexism, and homophobia need to be eradicated.

This initiative follows the successful implementation in southern Sweden, where it has already reached 1,500 students in Helsingborg, Hässleholm, Linköping, Staffanstorp, Lund, and Gothenburg.

Fundación Celta is reinforcing its commitment to football as a tool for social transformation, with the purpose of creating a positive impact on society. Through its work, it collaborates with institutions, organizations, and projects aimed at improving the lives of children and young people in different areas, always upholding the values of inclusion, respect, and coexistence.

In this sense, its participation in LALIGA VS not only strengthens its international reach but is also fully aligned with its philosophy: using sport as a vehicle for change to eradicate hate, racism, sexism, and homophobia, both on and off the pitch.

During the seminars, RC Celta players, Swedish nationals Williot Swedberg and Carl Starfelt, will leave personalized messages for students to hear first-hand about the importance of eradicating hate both on and off the field. The project also involves LALIGA partners such as Panini, which are supporting LALIGA in its implementation across Sweden.

Juan Fuentes, Delegate of LALIGA to the Nordics, stated: "It's great to engage partners and stakeholders in our global fight against these problems. Together we can achieve greater impact and leave a long-lasting message in our youngest fans who are the future of our society"

LALIGA VS is a platform where LALIGA and its clubs raise their voice through different initiatives in Spain and abroad, on and off the pitch, committing to fight and eradicate any type of hat
