Cristiano strikes first
There could never be a better start for Real Madrid in this fight between the two undefeated teams in Liga BBVA. ”Los blancos” started ruling the match and displaying their personality and it only took them 8 minutes to lead the score. The Madrid players didn't need too much effort to get to the rival area and Lucas Vázquez, in a neatly orchestrated attack, easily connected with Cristiano Ronaldo who hit the ball inside the penalty area and beat Sergio Álvarez with a powerful shot
Crucial Keylor Navas
Celta managed to wake up after this blow and free themselves from Madrid’s pressure: the game begun to flow for Berizzo’s men and the team had chances to get the draw. Their efforts, none the less, were futile over Keylor Navas’s performance. The Costa Rican goalkeeper was essential for his team and made several outstanding saves.
Danilo scores his first in LaLiga
It didn't take long for Real Madrid, with a very inspired Keylor Navas inside the goalposts, to find spaces in between the advanced defence line of the Galician team. In a new counter, Jesé spotted Danilo moving in from the right side of the pitch. The Brazilian moved into the area by himself and made a perfect shot in front of Sergio adding another goal for "Los blancos".
Cabral sent off
On the second half, the "Vigueses" took risks aiming to reduce the score. They managed to move upwards to Real Madrid’s area but Gustavo Cabral being sent off by the second card ended the local team’s momentum. After that they needed to recover to keep searching for the goal.
Terrific goal by Nolito
Celta finally was rewarded for its efforts to score after attacking insistently and even having a clear chance being saved by Marcelo under the posts. Nolito made the local crowd roar with the great goal he scored with a perfect shot from outside area that hit the net after hitting the bar.
Casemiro, Real Madrid's compass
Real Madrid's most outstanding feature was, once again, Casemiro. He organized the team and he ruled the match controlling the ball and stealing it to neutralize the opposite team's attempts to fight back. During injury time and just before the final whistle, Marcelo sentenced the match. Madrid beat a Celta team that never gave up.
