Nota de Prensa
THU 12.09.2024
This agreement was unanimously adopted in order to continue the joint and effective fight against racism.
Therefore, both organisations, which remain firm in their commitment to fight against any discrimination within football, especially racist attitudes and behaviour, will implement this specific gesture in all their competitions.
A signal can be given by the main referee of each match if he or she personally observes any racist behaviour, or if he or she receives information from a player or the security coordinator of the State Security Forces of any discrimination which has taken place.
The Protocol of Actions against racism, xenophobia and intolerance in football, which has been in place since 2005, is enhanced with this latest specific gesture for cases of racism, and is a step further in the fight against it. This goes from regulations and sanctions to awareness-raising campaigns and education to fight any kind of discrimination.
