Marcelino wins Liga BBVA Manager of the Month for September

Marcelino García Toral (Careñes, Asturias, 1965) has received the Liga BBVA Manager of the Month Award for September thanks to the four brilliant matchdays carried out by his team and for the coaching work from the bench, which has placed the club at the top of the table for the first time in its history.

Twelve points from twelve possible and victories over direct rivals such as Atlético de Madrid, Malaga CF, Granada CF and Athletic Club, support an award that recognizes Marcelino as the most successful manager in September and that he has received at the hands of BBVA, the main sponsor of the competition.

Now the main task for the coach is to keep the momentum of the team and finish consolidating a squad that is presumed to be one of the great contenders of Liga BBVA.
