LALIGA chose Vietnam as one of the host countries for the LALIGA VS Bullying campaign. A special event, held at LALIGA Academy Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, was attended by more than 70 young footballers who participated in various awareness-raising activities.
During the event, LALIGA's delegate in Vietnam, Pablo Casaos, explained LALIGA's role in tackling the issue both on and off the pitch. The event also featured educational videos, including a special message from Álex, LALIGA’s virtual influencer, who sent a greeting to the children at the academy and shared his personal commitment to the campaign.
Additionally, Rodrigo Burell (Tito), Technical Director of LALIGA Academy Vietnam, led a number of training exercises on the football pitch, including activities involving ‘dribbling’ past the monster that symbolises bullying in the campaign’s imagery. These activities highlighted how teamwork and togetherness can help young people fight bullying more effectively.
Since its launch at the start of this season, LALIGA continues to promote the LALIGA VS BULLYING campaign, placing an emphasis on the fundamental values of football, such as teamwork, unity and solidarity. The campaign encourages children not to remain passive when faced with bullying, but to stand together in the face of the problem. The campaign is supported by the slogan ‘A team leaves no one alone’, which suggests that, through solidarity, children can discover how the spirit of football can inspire social change.
"LALIGA has been committed to fighting hatred and violence for years through the LALIGA VS initiative, which encompasses various campaigns such as LALIGA VS Racism and the campaign we launched this season: LALIGA VS BULLYING. With this campaign, LALIGA wanted to reflect football’s collective spirit, where a team’s success depends on unity and mutual support. This same principle should apply to the fight against bullying and that's exactly what we've seen reflected today through this event," said Pablo Casaos, LALIGA's delegate in Vietnam.
“Endorsed and accredited by LALIGA through LALIGA Academy, the largest football project worldwide –, the LALIGA Academy Vietnam established in 2022 stands as the sole official entity in Vietnam, overseen by expert professionals from Spain, dedicated to developing future football talent through the LALIGA world-class training Methodology“, said Tan Bui, director of LALIGA Academy Vietnam.
LALIGA Academy Vietnam is a joint project with Embassy Education Group, serving over 250 talented young players between the ages of 5 and 16. From its inception, the academy has been dedicated to providing first class holistic sports training underpinned by values of respect, teamwork, integrity, and understanding, values that align perfectly with the VS Bullying initiative.
