Real Betis continue to finalise their pre-season plans ahead of the 2016/2017 campaign with increased participation in the LaLiga World project. As well as the match they are scheduled to play against the Qatar national team in Lucerne (Switzerland) on 13 August, they will now take part in the Dresden Cup on 29 and 30 July in the German city of Dresden. There, Gustavo Poyet's team will face Dynamo Dresden, Werder Bremen and Everton FC.
The four-way tournament, which will be played over two days at the DDV-Stadion, kicks off on 29 July with Betis v Werder Bremen (18:00 CET) and Dynamo Dresden v Everton FC (20:30 CET). The second day will decide the tournament winner when Everton face off against Betis (13:30 CET) and Dynamo Dresden go head to head with Werder Bremen (16:00 CET).
The trip will mark the third time that a LaLiga side visits Germany under the auspices of the LaLiga World project, after Malaga CF and Valencia CF enjoyed extremely successful trips to Gelsenkirchen and Cologne.
Betis's involvement in this tournament, coupled with the match against Qatar in Lucerne, marks the club's first participation in the LaLiga World project, an initiative which aims to raise the international profile of Spanish clubs.
