He is one of the stars of Liga BBVA and one of the most lethal strikers in Europe. And it is that, like fine wine, Aritz Aduriz improves every year. The Athletic Club number 20 never stops growing, thanks to his winning spirit, tenacity and courage. His class and his eye for goal, on the other hand, remains unquestionable.
At 34, his numbers speak for themselves again. After the dispute of the first 13 games of the 2015/16 Liga BBVA, Aduriz has already drilled the goal 10 times and has delivered 2 assists. Thus, the Basque striker has participated in 12 of the 21 goals scored by Athletic. Or what it is the same thing, has had a direct impact on 57% of the "Leones" goals.

All his goals have come from inside the box, a place where he moves like a fish in water. Five of them, including one from the penalty spot, were with the right foot. Two others, with his left. The other three, with one of his best weapons: the header. With his latest hat-trick against Rayo Vallecano also reached the 105 targets with Athletic, surpassing Joseba Etxeberria in the ranking of top scorers in the club's history.
Lethal in all competitions
His excellent performance extends to all tournaments. Since the start of the new season, Aduriz adds a whopping figure of 20 goals in all competitions. To his ten goals in Liga BBVA must be added the four goals that he scored in the Super Cup of Spain and the six he has signed in the UEFA Europa League.
His goals against FC Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup served to conquer the title, the first of Athletic in the last 31 years.
