- He lived in the neighborhood of Flores in A Coruna with a ball under his arm. He has always confessed that his football is from "neighborhood".
- Despite playing football all his life in the city, he never got to play in the youth ranks of RC Deportivo.
- In the beginning, he practiced indoor football and played football as a goalkeeper. When coaches found out his skills did not hesitate to change his position.
- It was formed in Victoria, a local team of A Coruña from which came Amancio Amaro.
- At age 16, having excelled in the Arteixo, packed his bags towards Deportivo Alavés youth ranks, but the experience did not go as expected and had to return to play in the Galician Third Division.
- After doing it well in his homeland, he got the call from Atlético de Madrid to play in its youth ranks.
- However, in the "Colchonero" team he didn't get a chance to make the leap from category and opted to sign for Rayo Vallecano´s second team.
- After his "Franjirrojo" debut with the first team in the second division, he received an offer to play in the Karpaty in Ukraine and decided to play in the League of Ukraine, where he soon ranked among the top scorers in the category.
- It was the first Spanish player in Dynamo Kiev's history.
