During the 2022/2023 financial year, LaLiga received €16.520.000 to be used to comply with the legally established obligations in terms of public funds from the collection of the corresponding percentage of the Quiniela (State National Lottery and Gaming Organisation). €1.858.000 were considered as subsidies for LALIGA.

The foregoing is in accordance with the provisions of current legislation (article 48.11 and third additional provision of Law 13/2011, of 27 May, on the regulation of gambling and article 1 of Royal Decree 419/1991, of 27 March, which regulates the distribution of revenue and prizes in State sports betting and other games managed by the State National Lottery and Gaming Organisation).

According to the applicable legal system referred to above and the provisions of article 3.1. B of Royal Decree No 258/1998 of 20 February, these funds are received for the following purposes:

Payment of Financial Rationalisation Plan
Payments for works aimed at improving stadium safety.
Payment to players in the event of non-payment by Clubs/SAD of LALIGA under the AFE-LaLiga Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Payments to the RFEF for correctly carrying out competitions, in accordance with the provisions of the current Coordination Agreement.
Distributions to Clubs/SAD affiliated to LALIGA.
