Toche named LaLiga 1l2l3 Player of the Month for January

R. Oviedo striker José Verdu, known as Toche, has been named the LaLiga 1l2l3 Player of the Month for January for his impressive goalscoring form in the league last month. 

The Spaniard was in outstanding form during January, finding the net four times. He kicked off the month with a brace away to Sevilla Atletico, although his goals were not enough to secure all three points. He then went on to score crucial goals in Oviedo's home wins over Elche CF (2-1) and R. Valladolid (1-0).

This accolade - which is awarded by Santander, the competition's main sponsor, and voted for by the LaLiga.es writers - was presented by Doña Noemí Alonso Ruíz, Director of the Asturias area.
