Joan García, Best Save in LALIGA EA SPORTS in March

Joan Garcia has received the award for the Best Save in LALIGA EA SPORTS in March. The goalkeeper of RCD Espanyol of Barcelona has once again made a very meritorious save this month, which has earned him the individual award for the second consecutive month.

If in February he won his first Best Save award for the save he made against Real Sociedad, preventing Luka Sučić from scoring, in March he did the same, producing a truly amazing save that left the entire RCDE Stadium speechless. It was in the 83rd minute of the match against Girona FC, with the Parroquies (the club's supporters) winning by the minimum margin (1-0). The Catalan team had a corner in their favour which, after four headers in the area, was converted into a very powerful volley by Yangel Herrera that Joan García was able to stop on the line itself.

The RCD Espanyol goalkeeper received a thunderous ovation from his fans and prevented the equaliser, although he could not prevent the 1-1 coming from a penalty in the 88th minute, taken by Stuani. The Catalan team's number ‘1’ thus achieved his second award for Best Save in the 2024/25 LALIGA EA SPORTS Season, beating Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) and Augusto Batalla (Rayo Vallecano) in the final vote.
