Ayoze, the young star who is charming the Heliodoro

Pace and quality. Brimming with talent. The new star from the CD Tenerife youth academy is shining bright, his name is Ayoze Pérez. The 20-year old striker, born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, has demonstrated his experience with some exceptional performances in the Liga Adelante.

Ayoze has become a key member of his team, with performances such as last Sunday’s against SD Eibar. One goal and one assist helped the side to a 2-0 win over the Basque club, giving Tenerife its third victory in four Liga Adelante matches. It is not by chance that the team’s upturn has coincided with the young man from Tenerife’s explosion onto the scene, it is his finishing that has allowed the team to escape the relegation zone. Tenerife’s ten points from a possible 15 are thanks to Ayoze’s five goals.

The youth-team graduate is now in his ninth season with the club and his first-team debut came in December 2012 against RSD Alcalá. He subsequently became an essential player in the Segunda División B and he is now one of the most feared strikers in the Liga Adelante. His coach, Álvaro Cervera gave him his break with the first team and now he has given him a chance in the Liga Adelante, the young player has repaid him with goals. At the moment Ayoze is his team’s top goal-scorer.

The enormous potential of this young star, who has lit up the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López, is one of his greatest virtues.
