Alba out for six weeks

FC Barcelona and Spanish national team left-back Jordi Alba has suffered a muscle injury to his left leg which, according to the Liga BBVA leader’s official website, will leave him sidelined for the next six weeks.

The former Valencia player, who missed the recent match against Sevilla in the Camp Nou, was in the final stages of his recovery from the hamstring injury he picked up a month ago that caused him to miss the team’s last few games.

The 24-year-old has only made three league appearances so far this season because of his muscular problems.
