Previously… Miguel Ángel Angulo was a right winger who spent most of his playing days at Valencia CF. He came through the youth ranks at R. Sporting and also turned out for Villarreal CF and Sporting Clube de Portugal.
His achievements… He was among the most used players at Valencia CF during a glorious period for los ché, in which they won two Liga BBVA titles, two Copas del Rey, one UEFA Cup, one UEFA Super Cup and one Spanish Super Cup. He amassed over 300 appearances in the Liga BBVA, scoring 43 goals in the division.
After hanging up his boots… He retired in 2009 after playing for Sporting Clube de Portugal in the final season of his career. He then took his coaching badges and is currently the coach of Valencia’s Under-13s.
Did you know… He won all of his medals alongside David Albelda and Santiago Cañizares, including an Olympic silver at Sydney 2000 with Spain.
