Míchel named LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for January

Michel Sánchez has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for January, an award issued by LALIGA in partnership with Microsoft. Girona are enjoying a campaign of unprecedented success and one of the reasons behind this is their coach Míchel. This is the third time this season that Míchel has won this award (he also won it in September and November).

 

Girona picked up three wins in January, overcoming Atletico Madrid 4-3 with a last-gasp goal, thrashing Sevilla FC 5-1 and claiming a 1-0 victory in Galicia over RC Celta. The only time Michel’s side failed to record a victory this month was in a 1-1 draw away against UD Almeria.

 

Míchel beat off competition from Rubén Baraja (Valencia CF) and Luís García (D Alaves) to pick up the LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month award.
