Artem Dovbyk named LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December

Artem Dovbyk has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December, an award handed out by LALIGA in partnership with EA. The Ukrainian’s endeavours were instrumental in Girona wrapping up December with three victories in the bag and key to keeping them in contention at the top of the table level on points with Real Madrid.

Girona FC are enjoying the sweetest of moments. Joint league leaders with a 48-point haul at the season’s halfway point, their centre-forward Artem Dovbyk has established himself as one of the Catalan club’s standout players.

With four goals in four resulting in three wins and a draw, the Ukrainian striker has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Player of the Month for December. Dovbyk found the back of the net against FC Barcelona, Real Betis and Deportivo Alaves – scoring a brace in the latter game – as well as putting in some great all-round performances to earn him this individual award.

The Girona FC striker follows in the footsteps of his coach, Michel Sanchez, who also earned the esteem of EA as the Manager of the Month for October and November. Dovbyk topped the voting ahead of Borja Mayoral (Getafe), Alvaro Valles (Las Palmas), Rodrygo (Real Madrid) and Iñaki Williams (Athletic Club).
