Umar Sadiq, LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Goal in March

Umar Sadiq, the Nigerian player from Valencia CF, has been chosen for his back-heeled goal against CA Osasuna as the Best LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of March. The striker conjured up the most spectacular goal of the whole month with an incredible finish with his back to goal that helped his team to scrape a 3-3 draw in their visit to El Sadar.

The match was going 3-2 to Osasuna and it was the 88th minute of the game when, after a cross into the area from Sergi Canós, Sadiq rose with his back to the goal and connected with a back-heeled shot that surprised the opposition goalkeeper and established the final 3-3 draw for his team.

The Valencia number 12 has won the LALIGA EA SPORTS Best Goal of the Month award for the first time in his career, beating two other incredible goals in the final vote: Diego García's bicycle kick for CD Leganés against Getafe CF and Andrei Rațiu's long-range shot for Rayo Vallecano against Sevilla FC. Sadiq succeeds Romain Perraud of Real Betis, who won the trophy in February.
