The Spanish national football team overcame Luxembourg 0-4 in the third game of the qualifying stage for UEFA EURO 2016. Vicente del Bosque’s men performed well in a match that they dominated from start to finish.
The first goal from the Spanish national side came on the half hour mark: the scorer was David Silva with a great left-footed strike from in front of the box. At the stroke of half time, Paco Alcácer extended their lead off a Silva assist. With his goal the player from Torrent now has three in four games for the national team.
In the second half, Spain continued to dominate possession and the chances on goal. Diego Costa, who had several opportunities to score in the first 45 minutes, made it 0-3 and claimed his first goal for the national side, as did Juan Bernat, who rounded off a convincing Spanish performance with their fourth goal on his debut.
Alongside the young left-footed winger, Rodrigo Moreno also wore the Spain shirt for the first time. It was Spain’s second win in the qualifying stage after their 5-1 victory over Macedonia.
