Huesca seal promotion to LaLiga Santander

SD Huesca are back in LaLiga Santander at the first time of asking, with goals from Rafa Mir (2) and Shinji Okazaki earning a 3-0 win over CD Numancia on Friday and more importantly, promotion to the top flight.

Michel's men have enjoyed a solid campaign in LaLiga SmartBank, having spent over half the season in the direct promotion positions alongside Cadiz CF, who also confirmed their place in LaLiga Santander last week. The two teams will now play for the title in the final Matchday on Monday.

From their 41 matches, Huesca have won 20 matches - more than any other team - and scored 54 goals. They are also the top scoring team at home in the division with 36 in total.
