Elche CF 1-0 Girona FC

Elche pulled off an impressive win to continue their climb up the LaLiga 1|2|3. The home side had to wait until the 88th minute to break the deadlock when Rober Correa headed home to seal Elche's 1-0 win over Girona, who remain second in the table.

Sevilla Atletico 0-0 CD Tenerife

Sevilla At. And Tenerife played out an evenly-matched goalless draw. The Andalusians almost opened the scoring on 38 minutes when Alejandro carved out space to shoot but fired wide. Neither side found a way to break the deadlock and the Canary Islanders left the Sanchez-Pizjuan with a point.

CD Mirandes 1-1 CF Reus

Reus made it three draws on the bounce away to Mirandes. The home side dominated the early stages of the game and took a 38th-minute lead through Iker Guarrotxena to go in 1-0 up at the break. Reus left it late, but David Querol headed in at the far post from Joan Campin's impressive cross for a late equaliser

Nastic 0-0 SD Huesca

Nastic and Huesca shared a point apiece in what was seen a must-win game for both teams. The Catalan side seem unable to claw their way out of the relegation zone, whilst the visitors made it another game without a win.

AD Alcorcon 2-0 Levante UD

Alcorcon are a formidable force on their own patch - with Cordoba CF the only side to have left Santo Domingo with all three points this term -  and the hosts once again displayed their fine home form to overcome the league leaders here.  David Rodriguez broke the deadlock with a 26th-minute spot-kick and the Madrid outfit went on to double their advantage when Sergio Postigo turned the ball into his own net in the 40th minute.

R. Valladolid CF 2-1 Rayo Vallecano

Valladolid staged a sensational second-half comeback at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla to propel themselves back into the playoff places. It took the home side just four minutes to hit two goals and turn this game in their favour. The Madrilenians drew first blood when Manucho poked home from close range in the fourth minute, before Jose Arnaiz and Juan Villar struck to hand Paco Herrera's side the spoils.

CD Numancia 2-0 Getafe CF

Jagoba Arrasate's charges claimed a comfortable win over Getafe, who came into this one riding an eight-game unbeaten streak, to put points on the board for the sixth successive home game. A stunning 16th-minute strike from Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta set the home side on their way, before Pablo Valcarce sealed the points in the 62nd minute.

Cordoba CF 1-1 UCAM Murcia CF

Hector Rodas's own goal gave UCAM a split of the spoils at a sunny Nuevo Arcangel. Rodri fired Cordoba ahead after eight minutes, wriggling past his marker before smashing home from point-blank range, but the unfortunate Rodas stuck out a leg and deflected a cross into his own net with a quarter of an hour left on the clock. The result extends the Andalusians' winless run at home while making it three straight unbeaten for the visitors.

UD Almeria 3-0 Real Oviedo

Following four straight defeats, Almeria were in dire need of a pick-me-up and they got just that with this morale-boosting triumph against the playoff-chasing Asturians. Second-half efforts from Borja, Quique and Gaspar settled the contest and moved the strugglers up two places, to within striking distance of safety.

RCD Mallorca 0-0 Cadiz CF

Both sides were left thinking about what could have been at the Iberostar Stadium after opportunities went begging at either end during this stalemate, which keeps Cadiz in third and Mallorca down in 18th. The islanders were on top early on but failed to make their dominance count, while the away team grew into the game but were equally unable to take their chances.

Lugo rounded off the matchday's action in dramatic style by snatching a late, late equaliser at La Romareda. After a scoreless first half, Cani conjured up a superb finish to put Zaragoza into the ascendancy around the hour mark. It remained 1-0 until the second minute of stoppage time, when Fede Vico drilled home from outside the box to earn his side an unlikely point.
