UD Almeria 2-1 Elche CF
Almeria notched up their third home win in a row after defeating Elche 2-1 on Friday night. It wasn't all plain sailing though, as they had to come from behind to secure a crucial three points. Elche took the lead early on after Almeria defender Ximo put the ball in his own net, but the away side were only ahead for a short while as Antonio Puertas equalised just 15 minutes later. It wasn't until the second half that Fernando Soriano's side found the winner, when centre forward Quique netted in the 59th minute.
CD Numancia 2-1 R. Valladolid CF
Los Pajaritos is all smiles once again after Numancia won for the first time since 25 September, earning an important 2-1 victory over R. Valladolid. Pablo Valcarce opened the scoring for the hosts in the 11th minute, before Raul de Tomas found an equaliser in the second half. Matters were finely balanced, yet Numancia snatched a victory in the dying moments courtesy of a strike from ex-R. Valladolid player Manu del Moral.
RCD Mallorca 2-2 Sevilla Atletico
Fans were treated to a close game in Palma this Saturday afternoon. Sevilla's youngsters went into a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Ivi and new recruit Marc Gual, but the home side hit back through Brandon and Lago Junior to end the match honours even.
R. Oviedo 2-0 Levante UD
LaLiga 1|2|3's leaders saw their nine-game unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of Los Godos. Michu scored his first home goal for R. Oviedo since returning to his boyhood club, before Jonathan Pereira secured the three points for the home team, putting the Asturian side in the playoff places.
Girona FC 3-1 CD Lugo
Girona's victory over Lugo saw the Catalan outfit climb up to second place in the league. The hosts took advantage of Sevilla Atletico's slip-up in Mallorca earlier in the day by thrashing Lugo 3-1, with Borja Garcia claiming a brace and Ruben Alcaraz netting the other goal. Thanks to these three points, Girona are now in the automatic promotion spots.
CF Reus 1-0 Nastic
It was a historic derby as these two local rivals went head to head in their first ever professional encounter and Reus took the win thanks to a second-half goal from Fran Carbia. The first half was an evenly-matched affair, but a second yellow card for Xavi Molina made things tough for Nastic and the home side took full advantage of their numerical advantage. Carbia's 56th-minute header from the centre of the area surprised Stole Dimitrievski in the Nastic goal and decided the Tarragona derby.
Getafe CF 1-0 R. Zaragoza
Getafe continued their impressive home form with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zaragoza which sealed three valuable points that saw them climb to eighth in the LaLiga 1|2|3 table. The only goal of the game came courtesy of Jorge Molina in the 87th minute.
Cadiz CF 4-1 AD Alcorcon
Carlos Bellvis's early goal gave Alcorcon a 2nd-minute lead, but Cadiz still had a lot to say on the matter. Alfredo Ortuño kicked off the home side's comeback with his 55th-minute equaliser, whilst Aitor, Salvi and Ortuño all scored late goals to seal an emphatic 4-1 win.
Rayo Vallecano 2-2 SD Huesca
Rayo and Huesca shared a point apiece in Vallecas despite the visitors playing for almost an hour with ten men after Rajko Brezancic was sent off for a second bookable offence. Patrick Ebert and Borja Lazaro were the two stars of the show as both players scored a brace and the two sides played out a 2-2 draw.
CD Tenerife 2-1 UCAM Murcia CF
Murcia took a 2nd-minute lead courtesy of Juan Jose Collantes, but first-half goals from Cristo Gonzalez and Amath sealed all three points for Tenerife. The Canary Islanders are now undefeated in four games, whilst the defeat was Murcia's fourth on the bounce.
CD Mirandes 1-1 Cordoba CF
Cordoba took a point from their trip to Anduva although Mirandes battled until the very end. The home side dominated the first half and broke the deadlock on 22 minutes through Pedro, only for Cordoba to equalise in the second half through Juli.
