The 2025 edition of the prestigious JSSL Pro Academy 7’s tournament will once again feature a select representation of LALIGA EA SPORTS clubs: Valencia CF and Villarreal CF. Valencia will participate in the U-16 male and female categories, where they are the current champions and will be looking to defend their titles. Villarreal, on the other hand, will also participate in the U-16 male and female categories but in addition to this, will be sending a special U12 APAC Selection Team comprised of the top players from Villarreal academies in Australia, Malaysia and the Philippines. The tournament will take place from April 17th to April 20th and will feature 450 teams from 17 different countries and the finals will be played at the Arena Stadium in Singapore.
Both Spanish clubs are models for their work in Youth Football. In fact, Valencia CF is the reigning JSSL Pro Academy 7’s champion in 2024, both in the men's and women's categories, which earned them the title of the tournament’s Best Pro Academy.
For its part, Villarreal CF won the Europa League in 2021 by championing a firm commitment to the youth academy, as demonstrated by the construction of two high-performance sports cities in recent years to ensure the high-performance training of hundreds of young talents.
Both Valencia CF and Villarreal CF also have a strong presence in Asia through their international youth projects. Villarreal CF has academies in Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea and three in Australia, as well as camps in Thailand and Japan. Meanwhile, Valencia CF also has academies in South Korea and Japan, and VCF Camps in China.
LALIGA has a firm commitment with the development of Youth Football in the SEA region, where the organization launched LALIGA Youth Tournament, which has been held in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines or Thailand, and has plans to expand to more countries. Moreover, under the global project LALIGA Academy through which it has developed more than 840 football projects in 55 countries since 2015, LALIGA maintains since 2021 in Singapore its collaboration agreement until 2026 for the national project "Unleash the Roar!", together with Sport Singapore and the Singapore Football Association, and has permanent academies both in Vietnam and Malaysia.
In addition, LALIGA collaborates on youth football projects such as the JSSL Pro Academy 7’s. This year, as one of the main sponsors of the tournament, LALIGA will be providing exclusive merchandise for the Most Valuable Player in each age group.
