Lorca FC have announced that Curro Torres will take charge of the team for the upcoming 2017/18 season in LaLiga 1l2l3.
The 40-year-old, who was born to Spanish parents in Germany, began his coaching career in the youth ranks at Valencia CF and impressively took Valencia Mestalla to the brink of promotion to the second tier this season, only to be beaten in the final promotion playoff against Albacete B.
As a player Torres played for several teams including RC Recreativo and CD Tenerife, but he is perhaps best known for his ten-year spell at Valencia CF, during which time he represented Spain at the 2002 World Cup in Japan and South Korea.
