Ruben Castro, LaLiga SmartBank Player of the Month for June

With LaLiga SmartBank having returned in June, the prize for best player also returns - the honours going to UD Las Palmas forward Ruben Castro following a brilliant month for the Canaries. 

The veteran scored 3 times across the course of the month, enough to earn 5 points for his team who currently lie 13th in the standings. Ruben Castro scored the winning goals in 1-0 wins over UD Almeria and CD Lugo, and also opened the scoring in an eventual 1-1 draw against Elche CF.
