Marcelino named LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for March

Marcelino Garcia Toral has been named the LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month for March, an award delivered by LALIGA in partnership with Microsoft. The Villarreal CF manager completed a sensational month in March with his team winning every point on offer.

Los Groguets, who are ninth in the table on 38 points, stormed to victory in all of their matches. They opened with a 5-1 drubbing of Granada CF at home, fought back at the Benito Villamarin to beat Real Betis 3-2 and ended the month by claiming the bragging rights in the Valencian derby with a 1-0 win over Los Che.

The Asturian lays claim to his first LALIGA EA SPORTS Manager of the Month trophy after garnering more votes than the other shortlisted candidates: Xavi Hernandez (FC Barcelona) and Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid).
