R. Valladolid CF 1-2 Nastic
Nastic picked up a vital away win in their bid for survival. Bruno Perone pounced to fire the Catalans in front from a free-kick in the 38th minute and, although Juan Villar restored parity with a 54th-minute penalty, a well-taken finish from Manu Barreiro a quarter of an hour from time ensured the spoils went back to Tarragona.
UD Almeria 3-1 AD Alcorcon
Luis Miguel Ramis enjoyed a dream debut in the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos dugout. The Andalusian relegation battlers claimed three golden points thanks in no small part to Quique Gonzalez, who scored a brace of fine headers either side of David Rodriguez's equaliser. Antonio Puertas's stoppage-time strike sealed the deal for Almeria.
CD Numancia 0-0 Rayo Vallecano
Draw specialists Numancia racked up their third straight stalemate in this keenly contested clash against Rayo, who climbed out of the drop zone courtesy of the point secured at the Nuevo Los Pajaritos. Chances were few and far between, albeit Javi Guerra had the opportunity to steal all three points for the visitors late on, only to be denied by home keeper Aitor Fernandez.
RCD Mallorca 1-1 Levante UD
A plucky performance from lowly Mallorca pegged back the runaway league leaders, but was not enough to lift the islanders out of the bottom four. After the Granotes went ahead in the first half through Jason Remeseiro, Javier Olaizola's troops came roaring out of the traps after the break and eventually levelled through Ion Ansotegi's towering header. Mallorca pushed for a winner right to the end, but were repeatedly kept at bay by visiting custodian Raul.
R. Oviedo 2-0 Girona FC
The Asturians condemned second-placed Girona to a second defeat on the bounce, although the Catalans remain on track for automatic promotion and retain a healthy cushion over the chasing pack, R. Oviedo among them. Toche was the match-winner, bagging a quick-fire double at the beginning of the second period (46' and 54').
Getafe CF 2-0 CD Lugo
Following two losses and a draw in recent weeks, Getafe returned to winning ways in convincing fashion. Attacking duo Chuli and Jorge Molina led the Madrilenians' charge, with the former in particular stealing the show, scoring the opening goal and laying the second on a plate for his strike partner.
Cadiz CF 0-1 CD Tenerife
A last-gasp Amath strike clinched a crucial win for fourth-placed Tenerife who managed to cut the gap on third-placed Cadiz down to a single point.
CD Mirandes 1-3 SD Huesca
A crucial win for the visitors heated up the battle to clinch a playoff berth, while Mirandes remain rooted to the foot of the table. Vinicius Araujo bagged goals in each half, while Carlos David also got on the scoresheet for Huesca. Urko Vera gave the home fans something to cheer when he cut the arrears on the stroke of half-time, but it was to no avail.
CF Reus 0-0 UCAM Murcia CF
The spoils were shared as Reus spurned several chances to secure all three points, including a Ricardo Vaz penalty. Resolute defending and an outstanding goalkeeping performance by Biel Ribas were key to UCAM securing a point on the road.
Sevilla Atletico 1-0 Cordoba CF
Sevilla At. shot up three places to ninth, thanks to victory over Cordoba. The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute of the contest through Marc Gual, with Pawel Kieszek unable to keep out the forward's right-footed shot. It would prove to be the only goal of the game at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, resulting in the home side racking up back-to-back wins, taking their points tally up to 42.
Elche CF 0-3 R. Zaragoza
Zaragoza picked up a comfortable win over Elche to lift themselves away from the danger zone. Angel put in a sterling performance against his former club, grabbing a brace in the process. The striker opened the scoring in the 14th minute, before Jorge Pombo doubled the visitors' advantage just after the half-hour mark. Angel struck the third and final goal of the game a couple of minutes before the break.
