- Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa are back in Spain's second tier after a 42-year absence, having clinched promotion in May via the playoffs against FC Barcelona B. Their previous campaign competing at this level was back in 1974/75.
- 2017/18 will be the club's 15th LaLiga 1|2|3 season, with their only top-flight campaign to date coming in 1955/56.
- CyD Leonesa play their home fixtures at the Estadio Municipal Reino de Leon which was inaugurated on 20 May 2001 as the Nuevo Estadio Antonio Amilivia. The stadium's name was changed at the start of the 2008/09 season.
- Gerardo Rodriguez (403) is CyD Leonesa's all-time record appearance holder, while the top goalscorer is Marianin Arias Chamorro (101 goals).
- The club is owned by Aspire Academy in Qatar, one of the world's most prestigious football academies.
