The data highlights that Real Betis are the leaders in aerial duels and crosses, while Sevilla FC are top for passes in the attacking zone, first third and overall passes completed.
The match comes at a very exciting time of the season with everything still to be decided. To highlight this, LALIGA has launched a special campaign with a piece showing "The Power of All" with fans and images of different teams, simulating a breath of tension and uncertainty to represent where everything is at stake for the team.
The Beyond Stats portal is part of the joint LALIGA and Microsoft advanced statistics project. The metrics are obtained thanks to the Mediacoach platform, which is supported by machine learning and artificial intelligence technology from Microsoft Azure. More than 3.5 million pieces of data are collected per match thanks to the 16 optical tracking cameras and three tactical cameras in each LALIGA stadium.
Who are the key players in each team and how do they stand out from the others? The analysts from LALIGA's Mediacoach team uncover the key characteristics of both sides in ElGranDerbi at this stage of the season based on data from the advanced statistics project:

In terms of efficiency, Real Betis' effectiveness in their own area is particularly noteworthy. Pellegrini's side are ranked third in the league in terms of chance avoidance.

In terms of players, Isco Alarcón is key: he has the most passes in the final third, the most dribbles, the most crosses into the box, the most assists, the most shots and the most high-impact actions for the team, excelling in competition in many of these metrics. Isco has six goals and three assists. On a physical level, Isco stands out as the Real Betis player with the greatest distance covered at high intensity (21km/h+). In addition to all this, Beyond Stats highlights him as player of the matchday: he's the player who has created the most high-impact actions in the entire division, i.e. actions that create a goal-scoring chance for his team. These can be passes, beating a player or carries which lead to a chance on goal.

Ayoze, who comes off the back of a brace against Valencia, is the team's second top scorer along with Isco on six goals. Defensively, Ayoze is also the Real Betis player with the most recoveries in the opposition half and is key when Betis are pressing.
