Team News:

- Rayo Vallecano: David Cobeno, Patrick Ebert, Tono and Razvan Rat (injured).

- UD Las Palmas: Hernan Santana, Javi Castellano, Angel Montoro and Vicente Gomez (injured).

Match Facts:

Rayo Vallecano (18th, 20 pts):

- All eyes will be on Francisco Medina Luna "Piti" on his second coming at Rayo, as the Catalan-born attacker returns to the club where he spent seven seasons during his first spell.

- Jozabed, whose eight goals make him the league's highest scoring midfielder, will be looking to follow up on his strikes in Rayo's last three outings (against Valencia CF, RC Celta and RC Deportivo) against the Canary Islanders.

- The Madrid-based club are unbeaten against Las Palmas in the Liga BBVA, with a record which reads one win and four draws in their previous five encounters.

Las Palmas (16th, 21 pts):

- Las Palmas come into the game in good spirits having clinched a last-gasp victory over Celta last time out, and the Islanders will be looking to repeat the trick as they seek to register their first away triumph of the season.

- Willian Jose will be one to keep an eye on at Vallecas. The striker is in fine form, having notched three goals in his last two games.

- The pace and guile of Jonathan Viera - who netted his side's other goal against Celta - is a key ingredient in Quique Setien's system. The Islanders play quick, free-flowing football, a style not dissimilar to that of Rayo's.

What's on in Madrid this weekend?

One of the best ways to spend your time in the Spanish capital would be to head over to the Circulo de Bellas Artes (Fine Arts Circle) for its annual Masks Party, which is part of the city's Carnival celebrations. Some of the building's most prominent halls, such as its Ballroom, the Column Hall and 'The Fishbowl' will be given over to the spectacular event.
