Previously… Salvador González Marco (La Alcudia, Valencia, 1963), better known as 'Voro', is a retired defender who used to play for CD Tenerife, Valencia CF, RC Deportivo and Logroñés.

His achievements… During his time with Deportivo de La Coruña he tasted success on the domestic stage by winning the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup titles in 1995. He was a Spanish international and was part of the 1994 World Cup squad.

After hanging up his boots… He called an end to his playing days with Logroñés after being plagued with a series of injuries. However, he did not cut his ties with the world of football. He managed Valencia in 2008 and 2012, following the respective sackings of Ronald Koeman and Pellegrino. He is currently a delegate for the club.

Did you know?… He made his debut with the Spanish national team in 1993 in a 1-3 win over Ireland. Javier Clemente called him up for the 1994 World Cup, where he only played one game against Bolivia.
