Previously… Agustín Elduayen (San Sebastián, 1964) is a former Spanish goalkeeper who played for Real Sociedad (1983-1986), Atlético Madrid (1986-1990), Real Burgos (1990-1993), RC Deportivo (1993-1996) and R. Valladolid CF (1996-1999).
His achievements… During his 16 professional season, al of which were in Liga BBVA, Elduayen played 179 games. It was in Burgos where he found consistency and where he enjoyed his best years in between the sticks, being first choice for three season.
After hanging up his boots… He retired at Valladolid at the end of the 1998-99 season. He currently works as a goalkeeper coach at the Carballo school (La Coruña).
Did you know… His performances at Burgos were not lost on then Spain manager Vicente Miera, who picked Elduayen for a friendly, although it was to be his only game in a Spain shirt.
