Previously... Jocelyn Angloma (b. Les Abymes, Guadeloupe, 1965) is a former French footballer who, after playing for several clubs in his home country and Italy, arrived at Valencia CF in 1997 and took part in the Blanquinegro club’s most decorated era.

His achievements... With Olympique de Marseille he conquered the French league and, in 1993, he won the UEFA Champions League. The same title eluded him twice at Valencia, a team that he played in two finals with, in 2000 and 2001, during five seasons that he spent in the city, winning a Copa del Rey, a Supercopa de España and a Liga BBVA in 2002.

After hanging up his boots... He announced his retirement in 2002, however his passion for football and his homeland, Guadeloupe, took him back to Etoile, his first club. Five years later he retired permanently and became the manager of Etoile.

Did you know... Angloma's farewell to his fans at the Mestalla was the dream of any player. Aged 38 he said goodbye having won a Liga for Valencia for the first time in 31 years. In the last match of the season he wore the captain's armband and the Ché fans chanted Uh, ah Angloma, uh ah Angloma for the last time.
